Great place to stop! Nice facility. Courtesy and rental car were unavailable. The manager personally dropped us off at a restaurant 5 miles from the field. When ready we called him and he picked us up in a matter of minutes.

Flew into Redbird (Dallas Executive) for our annual SimuFlite recurrent training - the folks at Ambassador were outstanding - cheap fuel AND they put the plane in the hangar GRATIS for the three days we were there. Did the same for us last year. Had the rental car ramp side and our bags in the car before we secured the plane! Highly recommended!!

Recently performed two quick turns (Citation Bravo) with Ambassador and had two very positive experiences. Both times the staff was quick, efficient, and helpful. Some of the highlights were the short turn around times, the ability to handle a last minute catering order, and also proved their honesty by catching a mistake and correcting a fuel receipt on their own. You can tell that Ambassador is staffed with people who want to thrive and value excellence, and we as pilots can only benefit from that.

I was going to Dallas for a meeting and Executive was the closest field to my destination. I was initially reluctant to go there because of a bad experience (at Cutter) on a previous trip. I call Ambassador and discussed with them the necessary arrangements. I received a follow-up call with my rental confirmation. We arrived at Executive airport on a very cold Saturday morning. The folks there had the car warmed up and the paperwork sitting out for us to fill out and go to our meeting. Ambassador is a very nicely run operation with incredible "people friendly" staff. Don't waste your time with anyone else on the field! Great service and appropriately priced fuel!!

Ambassador Aviation went above and beyond what we have come to expect from the FBOs we use on a weekly basis. I gave David our requirements a week prior to our arrival and our entire request were met. David called two days prior to check on our itinerary. We landed late due to an ice storm and our vehicles were warmed up on the ramp, because Dave had followed us on FlightAware. Aircraft was fueled and in a hangar before the crew left the area. Crew Hotel could not have been a better choice. Departure was flawless. It is our destination of choice in Dallas.

I have flown all over the U.S. In my Comanche, but I have never experienced such a wonderful quality of service as I did at Ambassador Aviation. When I arrived (late) the line supervisor gave me (and several boxes) a ride into downtown Dallas and helped me carry the boxes into the hotel. Then, when the weather got bad, he put my plane in the hangar -- without charge! Even the fuel price is the lowest on the field. I will definitely use Ambassador Aviation and will return to Dallas Executive (RBD).

Upon arrival a lineman met us and rental car was planeside before passengers could exit aircraft. Ambassador Aviation is a very professional operation that puts customer service first. Blair emailed to apologize that he was unable to meet us personally during our visit. I was very impressed with this FBO and that Blair thought enough to contact us concerning our visit to his facility. Blair will definitely have another opportunity to meet us on our next trip to Dallas.

Blair was very helpful once we arrived and since they didn't have a courtesy car available at the time, he offered to drive me and two friends to the Subway down the road, which was way beyond what we expected. Ambassador Aviation rates as one of the top FBO's anywhere. All our requests were met promptly, including 3 rental cars that were waiting at the aircraft as soon as we were stopped. All their personnel were friendly and accommodating. All this with the bonus of the cheapest fuel in the Metroplex area and no charge for 2 nights hangar. If you can find better service than this, I don’t know how. Thanks to Blair and all the crew at Ambassador.

Where do I begin? Last week when we were trying to find a FBO in order to evacuate our aircraft & get a hangar to accommodate our Falcon 2000 & Hawker 800, before hurricane IKE reeked havoc on Houston I made a phone call to Ambassador Aviation and was transferred to Blair D. What an amazingly courteous person. Not only were they able to find room for us they also personally drove our crew to Love Field to catch a commercial flight back to IAH. Without this kind of service we were sunk for sure. Hats off for a job well done with red carpet treatment, Ambassador Aviation are at the top of our list for trips back to Dallas in the future! Upon calling Ambassador prior to leaving my home airbase KBPK, I knew I had made the right choice in selecting Ambassador Aviation. Even though the rental agencies did not have a rental car available, the lineman at Ambassador went to another FBO and procured me a car and had it waiting upon my arrival. They insisted on unloading the plane and loading our baggage into the rental. To top it off, they hangared the plane for no extra charge! Why would you TRY anywhere else? Anytime I am in the general area, there is no doubt where I am going! Great Work Guys!

I fly a PC12 Pilatus. The service at Ambassador makes every other place I've ever been look poor by comparison!!! Every opportunity to go the extra distance is cheerfully taken for action. Low fuel costs are only the tip of the iceberg. What we got: Advance coordination for hotel, rental car, courtesy rides, Fox cart external power, early morning departure / fueling / pull-out, no-charge hangar storage over the weekend, cheerful service. What we didn't get: Attitude, high costs, glass and stainless steel terminal. We'll be back!

I visited Ambassador July 29-30 2008. This decision largely due to other comments here on AirNav. Upon arrival, I find my rental car at plane side with the air cooling and a professional crew assisting me with bags and other items. It is rare to find this attention to detail in the piston world along with reasonable, the lowest in the Dallas area, fuel charges.

I flew into Dallas Executive to go to a convention and visit the Kimbell Art Museum. I stayed a week and rented a car for the first few days of my Stay. The drive into Dallas is shorter than you think. "Ambassador" lived up to their name! The car was waiting for me upon touchdown with the AC running. Cool! They rolled out the red carpet and had ice-cold water waiting for my passengers and me. They made it easy for me to return the car early. My airplane was well cared for and ready for my departure. I will return to Ambassador Aviation every time I need to be in the Dallas Fort Worth area. My advice...."Go there because they care."

Used Dallas Executive as destination to take advantage of lower fuel prices even though it is a 45-minute drive to North Dallas. Found Ambassador Aviation personnel friendly and helpful. Fuel price lower than fuel card program at other FBO's. Hangered my King Air free for 9 nights. I would definitely stop here again.

This FBO is awesome. I flew a brand new king air C90 in with a few clients for a meeting and Ambassador did a perfect job. They had the rental car pulled up with the AC blowing before the props stopped spinning and greeted us with smiles. Blair did a fantastic job and his crew is the best that I have ever seen. Asking me if there is anything they can do to make our stay anymore pleasant. After my clients left and were on there way to their meeting they even ask if I would like to put the aircraft in the hangar to keep it out of the sun and I could put the power supply on it to let the Air conditioner run to keep the cabin nice and cool. I would recommend this FBO to everyone. One of the best I have ever been to in my career. Keep doing a great job Blair you guys are on your way to great success.

We have been using DAL and Addison for years, but at $7.00 plus per gallon, decided to give RBD a try. The distance to our destination was about 15 minutes longer, but the saving in fuel cost at Ambassador Aviation was well worth it. 350 gal X $2.00 per gal = $700. It was worth the 30 minutes to save $700. The rental car and service were exemplary.

Simply put: The best service I've had in 15 years of flying! It pays to let these folks know you are coming. When we arrived, three linemen gave us a progressive taxi straight into a nice new hangar (no charge if you fuel up). Blair went the extra mile, well actually 25 miles, by giving us a ride to our hotel. We stayed three days and during the weekend, I received a text message asking what time we wanted to leave. When we got back to the airport, a lineman washed and waxed my airplane! Well maybe not. Actually he just fueled it, but he acted like he would have been happy to wash and wax it if I had asked him!

Parked our Caravan Amphibian with Ambassador overnight recently. It was very windy and severe storms were on the horizon. The line service got us quickly taken care of and even offered to put us in the hangar if we needed. No taxis were to be found so they even booked and drove us to our hotel! My company recently brought 3 C-172s to Ambassador for a week, we chose Ambassador initially because of the low cost of fuel and hangar space, but it's the great service that will bring us back. Dave & Co. made us feel like we were their most important customers. To be frank, their facilities are rather modest, but the staff took care of all our needs, including rental car, hangar and maintenance arrangements promptly and without any of the "would you please get your piston single off our ramp" attitude we received at another Dallas-area airport (rhymes with "Madison") during an afternoon stay.

During the month of November 2007, I moved my MU2 to RBD from TKI [while runway resurfacing was accomplished at TKI].. Ambassador provided hangar and fuel for my MU2 at rates that were more attractive than any other FBO in the DFW area ... The service was exceptional [for example ... When I took my plane to Tulsa for multi-day overnight service.. Blair gratuitously provided "taxi service" for me from DAL to RBD (on a Sunday afternoon during a Cowboy game, no less) for me to retrieve my then stranded car at RBD ... All with a smile and plenty of "thanks for the business”].. Line crew efficient and friendly ... While their current FBO staging facilities are modest, I am looking forward to seeing their new FBO that I am told is to be built in 2008 ... On our last 13-city, two-day, coast-to-coast flight in the Citation, Ambassador Aviation stood out from the rest. The customer service and responsiveness was the best of any of the FBOs on our trip. We came to Ambassador for their exceptionally-low fuel prices that were lower than everyone else in the Dallas area. When we arrived, the fuel truck was ready. Line service was polite and attentive. It was the owner's birthday. Upon arrival, the manager, Blair Descourouez, of Ambassador met us on the ramp with birthday cupcakes (works better than a whole cake in an airplane), complete with candles, plates and napkins. Mr. Descourouez personally went and picked up all of this for us at no charge just to make our flight for the owner. Ambassador went above and beyond in the service we received; it was the highlight of the trip. We will certainly use Ambassador as our FBO of choice in the Dallas, TX area for its fuel prices and its people. We look forward to seeing their new building in 2008!

We often land at RBD and enjoy the excellent service and good fuel prices Ambassador offers. Recently we landed and experienced a nose wheel shimmy, Ambassador immediately hangared the aircraft for repairs. Through the week repairing the aircraft, all of the staff including the owners and manager frequently checked in offering any assistance. On departure there was no charge for hangarage or any services. The rest of the money gouging FBO's should take note on how to treat customers and keep general aviation alive.

My first trip into RBD was a pleasant surprise. The line crew met us with our rental car and loaded it in two shakes. I requested a nacelle wash for our C90GT and was told the overnight hangering was no charge. When I arrived the next day I found a sparkling plane and was told the wash job was "no charge". Absolutely the best FBO I've experienced in the past decade!!! I'll be back!

Our recent experience with Ambassador Aviation was wonderful. Initially, their fuel prices attracted us during our 10 days of training in a Cessna Citation SII. However, once there, we appreciate having the plane in their hangar when not training. We did contact the other two FBOs on the field, but we are conservative spending money, and seek to get the best service from vendors. In the future, we will return, their location is convenient to downtown Dallas and other parts of the city. Enterprise auto rental will deliver/pickup vehicles as well. I look forward to continued usage of Ambassador's great service.

Flew into Dallas Executive and was met by very efficient and courteous line crew. Topped up at $3.84/gal--June 5, 2006 pricing. Great pricing for downtown location and transient pilot. As with other posts, Ambassador offered to hangar my Columbia 400 for no charge overnight. New 'wheel-lift type' tugs. Plane was pulled first thing in the morning as requested and ready to go upon return to the field. Would recommend.

Great service from start to finish! Jonathan and Felix are some of the top linemen I have met so far. Everything was flawless from start to finish, from hotel to fueling to being placed in the hangar for free (a service I have never received). Best price on Jet A on the field! Comfortable crew lounge and ok facilities. If you come to Red Bird, you owe it to yourself to stop in at Ambassador.

Stayed overnight with our Caravan. Great fuel prices and service for a Dallas airport. They took fantastic care of us.

I was impressed with service and convenience. Friendly helpful service, rental car by the airplane, help to get dinner reservation's and best of all, 10 minute drive from downtown Dallas. When leaving Dallas, plane was ready, ice at hand, cover's removed and stowed, just ready for preflight. Definetly I am returning.

My first eperience at Ambassador was a wonderful one. I arrived at night and had selected Ambassador based on the fuel price (AirNav.com) and the idea that at larger FBO's a small experimental Velocity gets noticed by the pilots but not treated well by the FBO if they have jets to take care of. I was greeted by a very polite and knowledgeable line man and offered a hangar at no cost. I was picked up by a friend. It was a very short ride to the downtown convention center and hotel area. When I departed after 3 nights (still in the hangar) the taxi from the Hilton downtown was only $25. I was only able to take about 10 gallons (sorry I wish I could have bought more) the price was very resonable for a metro area. The folks there during the day were great and just kept wanting to do more for me. I will definitely be back at Ambassador when in Dallas

Ambassador Aviation provides great service on many levels, including inexpensive fuel, free hangar storage, and a customer-oriented staff; if you're looking for a quick fuel stop or a place to tie-down in the Dallas area, Ambassador Aviation is a top choice, even when arriving in a lowly Skyhawk. However, if you need ground transportation, you should plan it in advance, because the location is more out-of-the-way than you would expect, considering its proximity to Dallas and DFW; additionally, staff couldn't offer a courtesy ride, because only one employee was on duty. I finally paid $150 in taxi rides to go back and forth to DFW for a connecting flight. Bottom line: this is a fine place to stop, but evaluate your ground transportation requirements before selecting this airport. (By the way, ATC casually refers to the airport as "Redbird," which apparently is a former name; note the RBD identifier.)
